How it's Made: The Trumpet Vine, from Image to Illustration
Inspired by the delicate native western NC flower, the Trumpet Vine blooms from July until October. Its sweet odor, bright colors, and bloom shape attract hummingbirds, whose delicate beaks and long tongues can easily extract the flowers’ sugary nectar. It’s no mystery why the Trumpet vine is also known as the Hummingbird vine!
